We are honored to feature a powerful story, "I Became a Woman at Age 33," in our upcoming book, Being Brave: #Celebrating1mWomen and Their Courage.
Sandy Stamato shares her courageous journey of reporting sexual harassment at work, despite fear and societal pressure to stay silent. With the support of her mentor, she confronted a toxic situation, inspiring other women to speak up and marking a defining moment in her personal growth.
Sandy Watchie Stamato has dedicated 35 years to advertising, marketing, and training, collaborating with extraordinary people and organizations along the way. For the past decade, she’s poured her heart into coaching and mentoring female entrepreneurs, guiding them to answer the profound question, “What do you do?” with authenticity, joy, and passion. In a world that often demands conformity, Sandy believes it takes true courage to stand out and shine brightly, and she’s devoted to helping women do just that.
After surviving a traumatic brain injury in 2012 and breast cancer in 2024, Sandy is thriving and BRAVELY stepping into new territory once more. At 64, she’s writing a book on “Limb Dwelling,” consulting, and speaking. She lives in Seattle with her husband and their pup, El Rio.
